The Shetland Violence Against Women, Children and Young People (SVAWCYP) Partnership is pleased to introduce its new logo, reflecting the partnership’s shared commitment to preventing and responding to all forms of violence affecting women, children and young people in Shetland.
SVAWCYP brings together a range of local statutory and third sector partners to provide strategic leadership, strengthen multi-agency working, and ensure effective support is available for survivors. As a sub-committee of the Shetland Public Protection Committee since 2021, the partnership plays a key role in coordinating activity across agencies and aligning with national Violence Against Women guidance.
The partnership’s work focuses on prevention through education and awareness, improving trauma-informed support, promoting accountability for perpetrators, and embedding the voices and experiences of survivors in service development. By working collaboratively, SVAWCYP aims to create lasting cultural change and promote safety, equality, and wellbeing for women, children and young people across Shetland.
