Fake Police Department E Mail Scam

Cybercriminals have set up a fake US Police Department website and are sending out a series of scam e mails targeting residents mainly in Texas. The e mails are written with authority and urgency and recipients are referenced to be obstructing the law if they do not provide personal information including bank details. Due to the reach of online connectivity it is understood similar titled scams e mails have now been received by organisations in Scotland. Please read full CyberAlert Bulletin attached.
